Community Partnerships: Implementing The Hive CC's BuzzPak Curriculum

In partnership with Therapy Your Way Counseling & Consulting and The Hive Community Circle, GGUS hosts Girl, BEE the Change. A spring workshop for high school girls ages 14-18. Utilizing The Hive's BuzzPak curriculum and funds received through our Aflac fall cycle grant, we provided a full day workshop highlighting understanding relationships, building community, consent, boundaries, healthy vs. unhealthy relationships and being the change in our communities.
Girl, Get Up Society: Fundraising School Grant Recipient

GGUS received a $2,500.00 grant funded by Central Carolina Community Foundation (CCCF) to attend Nonprofit Plus' No More Duct Tape Fundraising School! Hosted by Rachel Ramjattan, this immersive 6 week capacity-building program helps leaders reduce their fears fundraising and improve their fundraising vision, strategies and systems.
2023 Nonprofit Summit Scholarship Recipient
February 17, 2023
GGUS Executive Director, Rhonda Bush receives Scholarship funded by The African American Philanthropy Committee at Central Carolina Community Foundation (CCCF). This cycle, CCCF funded 18 three-day scholarships to Together SC's 2023 Nonprofit Summit held March 7-9 2023 in Columbia, SC.
From Idea to Reality: The Evolution of Girl, Get Up Society

GGUS received a $500 in-kind donation from 4imprint One by One charitable organization program. With this grant, GGUS was able to purchase over 350 promotional and marketing items for our Girl, Live wellness packages.

Fall 2022 Aflac Grant Recipient

GGUS received its first grant by way of Central Carolina Community Foundation! As an Aflac grant recipient, GGUS will be able to provide individual and group therapy for teen girls and adult women. We will also partner with The Hive Community Circle by implementing their BuzzPak curriculum into our Girl Power teen program.
